Crafted from gold nuggets and diamond slices, these earrings are a homage to the humble ToeToe, a native plant omnipresent in New Zealand's landscapes. Its golden beauty, when juxtaposed with a turquoise sea, creates a stunning contrast that made a lasting impression on me. I wanted to capture that contrast, as well as the duality between resilience and fragility, and the gentle sway in the breeze. The result is an ode that celebrates raw beauty and elegance.
Showcased at the prestigious Milano Jewellery Week in 2023, these earrings were part of an international exhibition of contemporary jewellery.
